[Refreshing taste]
Houjicha contains theanine. With a refreshing taste, it goes well with a variety of meals, from Japanese to Western dishes, and refreshes your pallette. It has a light taste compared to coffee and regular tea, so you can drink lots! It is also recommended for keeping hydrated.
[Relaxing with moderate caffeine]
This hojicha is not caffeine-free, but rather moderately caffeinated (containing 20 mg per 100 ml). It does not have as high a caffeine content as gyokuro or matcha green tea, so it is ideal for those who want to refrain from caffeine, such as pregnant women and breastfeeding women, but who are not satisfied with decaf tea.
[Popular Hojicha drink: “Hojicha latte”]
This high-quality domestically roasted Hojicha goes well with milk. The “Hojicha latte” is a popular drink among tea lovers. Simply heat milk in a pot, and add two Hojicha tea bags as you make it. If you like, you can add sugar, honey, or ginger if you want a warm, cinnamon-like flavor.
[Minister’s Morning brand domestic organic Hojicha
